FA Statement: Goran Stevanovic

Date :23rd Feb, 2012
Following a meeting of the Executive Committee on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the performance of the Black Stars at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, the Ghana Football Association has decided to consult other stakeholders before a decision is taken on the future of coach Goran Stevanovic.

The Executive Committee thoroughly examined the technical and management reports on the performance of the Black Stars.

The Executive Committee generally formed the opinion that the performance of the team fell short of the target set for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Accordingly remedial measures have been approved for implementation with the view to building a formidable squad for the qualifiers for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and 2014 World Cup.

We are very hopeful that in the next few weeks some of these measures will be unveiled.
