Pro-opposition pressure group, Alliance for Accountable Governance is currently embarking on a street match to protest what it says are economic hardship and corruption under the Mills administration.

Speaking to Kapital news, Executive Member of AFAG, Davis Opoku is particularly angry the economic plight of Ghanaians has worsened under a better Ghana Agenda. Opoku also believes handling of the payment of judgement debt to Alfred Agbesi Woyome smells of hypocrisy.

Opoku also does not understand why Deputy Attorney General, Ebo Barton Oduro is still at post despite roles he played in payment of judgment to Alfred Woyome.

Opoku believes removal of fuel subsidies also smacked of insensitivity on the part of government. Some of the inscriptions on their placards read: “Atta Wayo wicked”, “Impeach Mills”, “Atta must go”, and “Two years no pay to NIA workers; why” among others.

Meanwhile Davis Opoku says if after the demonstration government does not yield to their demands, the demonstration will be replicated across all major cities in Ghana.

AFAG wants president Mills to be proactive in governing the country.
