About Kapital
Kapital radio is a subsidiary of Imperial Broadcasting Corporation.
It was established in 1997 on the frequency modulation of 97.1MHZ. The transmission power of Kapital radio is 5,000 watts of power giving us coverage of 117,300 square kilometers.
Kapital radio is located in the heart of Ashanti region on 17 Dr Donkor Fordjour Avenue Nhyiaeso.Though we are located in the Ashanti region we can be heard in 7 out of the ten regions in Ghana.(GAMPS 2010). Kapital radio is noted for its sound quality and excellent presentation coupled with good programming.
The target listeners are the middle class to the upper class within the age group of 25-55yrs. We play good music, organize events, provide information, education and entertainment to our cherished listeners and promote products and services for clients.
Kapital radio’s programming format is mainly music playing and hence our slogan “The heart of Music”. We also have some specialized programmes like the “The Good Times, Kriss Kross, Cymbals etc” and some talk programmes like sports just to create variety for a good listening experience.
